ersatztv stream not working on vlc 3.0.18 Vetinari (revision 3.0.13-8-g41878ff4)

Hi, i'm not even sure if this is a VLC issue, but i'm gonna post it here anyway, maybe someone smarter than me has a valid opinion about this.

I was setting up ersatztv (https://ersatztv.org/) and trying to open the stream with vlc on arch linux. I was constantly getting the errror:

Your input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL 'http://192.168.0.100:8409/iptv/channel/1.ts'. Check the log for details.

With mpv the stream works perfectly ok. I made a pcap to see what was going on, and it seems like there were tcp acks flying around but it never got a syn, and thus dropped the connection i think?

I tried this on windows with vlc and the stream did work. Also tivimate on android tv seems to work perfectly fine. So i'm not even certain this is a VLC issue? Basically i have no clue how to debug this further or how to continue to get this fixed.

Would love to hear any thoughts about this, if any further debugging is necessary please let me know.

I don't see any issue with the packet capture. VLC asks for, and gets, an MPEG-TS stream over HTTP.

Since this works on Windows, this is most definitely an issue with packaging or installation with Arch, rather than with upstream VLC.
