VLC crashing when clicking on "Capture device"

I have updated it to no avail. Every time you go to capture device and click there, the program crashes.

operating system? VLC version? capture device name?

Hi, windows 10, 64 bit on a windows 10 nook .

I could not get to name capture device, upon clicking o n capture device, it would crash.

i updated the program to no avail. then uninstalled and did a fresh install -to no avail.

I presume that by "capture device", you mean the caption of the tab in the open dialog?

see image attached. if i click "capture device" with the mouse, it crashes. this latest version, and the version before.

Without stack trace, this is now dependent on somebody reproducing the issue...

removed Component::Services discovery label

added Component::Interface: Qt label

VLC is collecting data about all video and audio devices. Probably you have a broken video or audio driver that cause VLC to crash.

try to uninstall all unused audio and video drivers from your system.

I'm having this issue as well.
