DV-AVI Type 1 audio is muted
I have two probably unrelated bugs to report:
Sometimes, when I try to play a DVD, the player just remains in playlist view and exits normally. If this occurs and I try to play the DVD again, VLC freezes. No data is written to Crashdump (at least, I don't think it is). If a DVD plays, it will occasionally freeze around the halfway point of the movie. This has been happening with some frequency before and after I updated VLC. By "some frequency," I mean pretty much every time I have tried to play a DVD. Sometimes I get lucky and it works. Granted, this may be the fault of my DVD drive, but my DVDs play fine on Windows Media Player and Cyberlink.
Whenever I play a Type 1 DV-AVI file (that is, one with audio and video in one stream), it is muted and VLC can't find an audio stream. This did not happen before I updated VLC.
I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I have the latest version of VLC (I can't remember which version I had before I updated). My computer is a Dell Studio XPS with an Intel core, and an ASUS BluRay/DVD drive.
