.vob and .mpg files are ignored

Starting with the 3.2.8 release, .vob and .mpg files are systematically ignored when synchronized and never show. The files are correctly synchronized of course.

Note: the problem is not the file extension. If you rename mp4 files to mpg or vob, those WILL BE recognized!

If the extension is not to blame, then most likely those files are not returning any tracks. If you share a database I can confirm this.

However the media should still be created and returned (as part of videos since they are of "Unknown" type)

Note, that this is a regression from 3.2.7.

The media is present in DB, and tagged with "Unknown" type, so libvlc didn't return any tracks for it.

any mediainfo ? ISO9660 or UDF ?

ps has never returned ES at preparsing time. It needs to demux(). If the backend is not seekable it won't provide length.

My bad, this is due to a change in the medialib. We used to discard media without at least 1 known track, but in order to work around the lack of info for some formats, we were starting a playback and fetching the tracks afterward.

This isn't done anymore since we now accept media without tracks.

However this media should be included in the video listing

So the plan is to add a subset of extensions for files which often don't provide the correct number of tracks, and enforce their type accordingly.
