HDR not working with AV1 codec under VLC 3.x

Hey folks, I recently ran into the following issue that VLC is not able to properly play AV1 codec with HDR grading information. The image always looks kinda special and sometimes very cold.

If I check the codec tab at VLC it also won't show me grading information the same way as for HEVC/h.265:

It seems like that the VLC Player is not able to properly read HDR metadata from the video file I want to play (mp4 and mkv container tried so far). I also opened a bug at the AOM GitLab repo, but unfortunately this does not seem to be a bug with SVT-AV1 side, as the HDR information is definitely present at the file I want to play with VLC, please also see the rest of the story here:
