Consider changing default snapshots folder on Windows to \Pictures\Screenshots\
When I did Shift+S
on VLC media player on Windows 11, by default it sent my snapshot to C:<name>\Pictures, which is inconsistent with default Windows behavior.
Why? Using Windows' built-in screenshot function (Win+PrtSc
) sends it to C:<name>\Pictures\Screenshots, rather than just the root of the Pictures folder. Similarly, when signing in by default for the first time on the bundled-in OneDrive app, it automatically makes you tick a setting that saves all screenshots you make when you simply press PrntScr
key to OneDrive, and it sends those images to \Pictures\Screenshots.
My request? Consider changing it to be more consistent with how the OS does it. Replace default folder for video snapshots to %HOMEPATH%\Pictures**\Screenshots**.
I mean, sure, I already changed it in the Preferences page, but defaults go a long way, and I act as tech support for my family so it would help others be more organized as well.

I don't think this is relevant to my case, but I assume it's standard procedure, so,
