ogg music files served from DNLA source show up as Unknown type in Android App

Android App ver 20222-02-14. Browse local network DNLS source for ogg music files. Plays OK but shows as ? with icon whereas MP3 or WMA etc shows as "music" icon. Only gives Play option not Add to play list. If you add to playlist while playing the track it adds OK but corrupts (permanently) the track title both in the playlist and when browsing later. Corruption only fixed by clearing data/cache on app. Symptom not present on VLC on linux or on other DNLA player apps. Repeatable across phones.
