Android: SMB doesn't work over IPv6

I cannot connect to an IPv6-only SMB server from VLC for Android.

Filling in an IPv6 address doesn't work (everything after the first colon [:] gets cut off). Also using a domain name which has an AAAA record does not work.

Using VLC for Android 2.5.14 on Android 8.1.0.
