OS X: VLC says there are -1868200634 items in my playlist

I saw this at a friend's computer first. Now it's happening on my VLC as well. Not sure how to reproduce it.

Anyway - the playlist is empty so this is obviously a very incorrect number. ;-) See screenshot.

This hapened in 0.8.6a and still happens in the latest stable version (0.8.6c)

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
