VLC 3.4.0 on iPadOS 15.7 can't play to TV via USB-C cable

External monitor attached to iPad via USB-C cable, the screen just mirrors the iPad, which shows the message "This video is playing on the TV". The audio still plays on the TV, but no video.

Also tested on an Nreal Air (using USB-C cable)

And also tested on a large TV (using USB-C to HDMI cable).

All 3 setups used to work previously on old versions.

Was also able to lock the screen on old versions and the video continues playing on the external display, now locking the device also blanks out the external display (which was only displaying the message "This video is playing on the TV").
