Add UI to sort files on network shares by date

It would be nice if we could sort files on network shares (such as SMB) by date as in "last added" or "last modified". This probably requires changes to libvlc and is not trivial.

Why don't you sort in the UI?

We could indeed. However, for UPnP directory listing with pagination, you can ask the server to sort for you and therefore preventing the fetch of a list 3000+ items while you only want to show the first 100. I’m not sure if this concept is understood by SMB though.
