Continue Video playback no longer works with versions 3.3.11 & 3.3.12

Hi, on my iPad Pro 10.5 running iPadOS 15.7.2, video playback doesn't resume from last position even though the "Continue video playback" option is set to Always.

If the VLC app remains open, playback sometimes continues from the last position. But if I close the app, reopen the app and tap the "unfinished" video, it always restarts from the beginning.

This problem did not happen with previous versions.
