I am not sure it's a duplicate as the other issue is with the use of libvlc. That's why it has been closed: it was more an implementation question that an issue.
@fred Could you please confirm me that you got this issue with VLC Android?
If so, could you please tell me what repeat mode you used and if you used it on TV.
It would be nice, for future issues to use the provided template. This way we can have all the info we need.
I only use VLC for Android. I do not use the library.
This happens on the single loop and the permanent loop. On each repetition the black frame occurs.
I use it via a computer monitor, HDMI (Android box) to DVI (monitor). No converters, just one cable.
But I am pretty certain this is a software issue as even the "Video Looper" application on the Google Play store does not have this black frame when repeating content.
Whenever it switches from the mp4 to the mpg, the black frame occurs. Is it because of hardware and software render switching? How can I force VLC to always be hardware like MX Player (which the issue does not happen with)?
